Business Administration Intern
32 or 38 hours per week
Are you looking for an internship from September onwards? And can't you wait to roll up your sleeves and develop yourself? Take this unique opportunity to support Commerce with the opening of new countries. Are you ready for Action?
This is your daily action
Every year we open a large number of new stores. In the meantime, we have Action stores in 9 countries and plan to expand even further. In April we opened our first stores in Italy, and now we are busy preparing for our first store openings in Spain. Commerce takes a lot of time to open these first stores. What products will we sell, at what prices and how will we communicate this to our new customers? In doing so, we must take into account the laws and regulations in that country and see how our processes fit in with them. All departments within Action work together to ensure that the opening of new stores is successful.
As an Intern in Business Administration, you will work with the Commerce New Countries Project Manager. You will dive into current processes, playbooks and dashboards, help to describe these and suggest ideas on how best to keep, record and update them. This will help you to clarify what is going on in the preparation of specific countries and what requirements we need to meet. You will be working in all aspects of Commerce, which means that after your internship you will have a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Meet your team
Commerce consists of the Commercial Operations and Commercial Development departments. Commercial Operations ensures that our buying activities are processed properly, and all data is accurately fed into our systems. These activities are vital in managing our operations, since our logistic, digital and marketing activities depend on it. Commercial Development safeguards our store format and is focused on optimising the way in which we get the customer to find our products in our stores. This involves analysing the format and layout of our stores, shelf layout, determining what items are promoted as well as monitoring the competitiveness of our pricing.
