This is your daily action
The Business Controller Group Control reports directly to the Manager Group Business Control. Business Controlling supports and challenges the business by providing financial advice across various domains such as HR, Finance, Communication and Procurement.
In this role you will be focusing on overhead costs for different departments at the IHQ. You contribute to the preparation and development of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans. Throughout the year you oversee and manage the monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analyses and reporting to senior management. Naturally you challenge the business to ensure tight cost control in line with budget or forecast.
In addition, you have an important, independent and visible position in the organization, being a critical and proactive sparring partner within the Finance Department. Due to the rapid and continuous growth and transition of Action the role offers excellent career opportunities. We are looking for a junior candidate who can support the team and is eager and ambitious.

More than 70 specialists work in various roles in the Finance department. The Financial Shared Service Center takes care of the complete administration of our international organization. Treasury manages all cash flows and our Tax team handles all tax matters. Business Controlling provides financial advice to among others Store Operations, Commercial Control, Supply Chain and Financial Control. We not only provide important management information, but our analysis also ensures important process optimization. We are looking for someone who is highly driven, energetic and ambitious. Someone who pays meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product. In this position it is necessary to have strong (interpersonal) communication skills and a pragmatic approach to problem solving. As a Junior Business Controller you must be able to thrive in a fast-paces international environment and you are able to meet and establish deadlines. Next to this you are a real team player!
- Bachelor+ or master degree in (Business) Economics/Accounting
- 3-5 years of finance experience;
- Preferable with knowledge of accounting systems (such as SAP and HFM)
- Highly analytical thinker;
