(Fulltime 38h/wk) As a Compliance and Integrity Expert, you will help us protecting our business against a variety of compliance risks by challenging our people to take risk conscious decisions in accordance with our legal obligations and ethical standards.
You will work in close cooperation with colleagues from Risk Management, Information Security and Privacy, Fraud and Store Security and Internal Audit. As Compliance and Integrity Expert, you report directly to the Director Risk Assurance and work in close cooperation with all our HQ and country business teams. You will focus on establishing compliance structures and policies and on preserving our strong culture. You will be in charge of related communication and training.
Areas of responsibility
Compliance and Ethics Structure
Support the Director Risk Assurance in developing Action’s strategy and roadmap for Compliance and Integrity.
Contribute to the design, implementation and continuous enhancement of Compliance Management processes, methodologies, policies, procedures, templates and framework.
Develop and maintain, together with our business teams, an overview of key compliance related laws, regulations and business standards and embed this in an adequate compliance program.
Provide expert guidance to all areas of our business.
Compliance and Ethics Communication and Training
Develop and implement, in close cooperation with HR, an effective compliance and ethics training program
Compliance and Ethics Reporting (including incident management)
Prepare Compliance and Integrity performance reporting and discuss the results with the Director Risk Assurance and Risk and Compliance Committee.
Support the Director Risk Assurance in responding to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and the Code of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. Contribute to the development a uniform process for handling such violations.
Who are you
Economic, Law or Compliance grade, WO level (master’s degree), with a completed Compliance Professional/Officer certification is preferred.
8-10 years of experience in Compliance and Integrity Management.
Solid understanding of Compliance Management and Integrity principles, including the execution of compliance programs, audits and investigations.
Knowledge of or familiarity with relevant (international) rules and regulations and affinity with compliance and integrity issues.
Knowledge of and experienced in documentation systems for processes, risks and controls.
Experience in the retail sector preferred.
Fluent in English, French and German proficiency preferred.
Analytical mindset and ability to relate strategic company objectives to own activities.
Hands on mentality and excellent communication skills, including good presentation and reporting skills.
Acts with integrity and constructive critical mindset.
Proposes and implements efficient and effective working methods.
Demonstrates a high level of pragmatism.
Is very organised, can structure activities and projects, respecting instructions and deadlines.
Works efficiently and effectively, also under time pressure.
Works effectively with others to achieve common targets.
