Building and coaching your rapidly growing team, your work will demonstrably contribute to Action’s success! 

This is your daily action

You’ll be leading a team of five customer insights analysts, in what’s very much a hands-on role. You and your team analyse all the data we collect from our stores, our online channels and UX research tools and provide valuable insights. Your work will help optimise anything from marketing communication and our channels to product development, driving the performance of ROPO and our relatively new e-commerce initiatives. 

Working agile in a sustainable, yet highly commercial and rapidly growing organisation, you will continuously strengthen your team. Coaching your team and helping them grow their competencies, hiring new colleagues, budgeting, investing in tools: it’s all part of your job as customer insights lead. 

You will also translate the digital department’s objectives into goals and initiatives related to customer insights. In addition, you’ll be advising marketing teams across Europe on their marketing communication mix, based on your insights. Data being a relatively new domain in Action’s digital transformation, you’ll have a pioneering role in inspiring and convincing colleagues of the added value of customer insights in their decision-making process.

Your Customer Insights team is part of the currently thirty-strong multidisciplinary Digital Marketing domain. We’re responsible for all Action’s digital marketing communication, with disciplines ranging from SEA, CRO, SEO and social media to merchandising, web & app development, UX and customer insights. Continuously improving Action’s in-store and online performance is very much a team effort, in which you’ll play a key role. This is you

Being data-driven with superb analytical skills, you thrive on producing valuable customer insights. You enjoy working closely with colleagues to optimise our marcom initiatives and online channels, as well as product development. Embracing your pioneering role in our data-driven approach, your communication skills help you convince internal stakeholders and decision makers of your suggestions and ideas. 

You also have:

  • Graduate-level ability or training. 
  • Demonstrable experience as a product analyst, data analyst or another relevant role. 
  • Plenty of experience with CRM data management processes and software, Excel, Google Sheets, Google Data Studio and SQL.
  • Management experience that will help you guide and coach your team in this scale-up phase.   
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, as you’ll be working with Dutch speakers and international teams.
