As a Senior Project Manager you deliver new smart tooling (handheld device, real-time connection and software) for our stores (approximately #2000, end of 2021) that supports all in-store supply chain activities such as counting, ordering, receiving and returning of goods. 
 

Daily Activities

As Senior Project Manager you will lead the Mobile Store Operations (MSO) project as part of the Store Automated Replenishment (StAR) program. The StAR Program delivers a series of innovations and solutions that enables automated ordering of goods. 

Within this role you have a report line to the Manager Store Projects within Store Operations as well as a direct reporting line to the StAR Program Manager. You work together with the project team (Process Designer and IT project Manager) and business stakeholders to deliver the new smart tooling. In this role you will be driving the MSO Project on a daily basis and directly contribute to the success of the company by improving the in-store supply chain tooling (handheld device, real-time connection, smart and intuitive software application) and processes. You will steer the project from start to finish by setting milestones and achieving deliverables that meet all deadlines, budgets, and quality levels. You will manage the project team and other key stakeholders to ensure the best possible results and if necessary you will raise support throughout the organization. 

Together with process owners and business stakeholders, you are responsible for defining the future tooling and way of working in stores in relation to in-store supply chain processes. You collect business requirements, develop to-be processes and software designs. You coordinate testing and pilot activities that proves the expected business case outcomes and ensures a high quality solution. You work closely together with the IT Project Manager who is responsible for delivering the hard- and software tooling and the Process Designer who is mapping out the to-be processes. Within this role you have a direct report line to the Manager Store Projects within Store Operations as well as a dotted line to the StAR Program Manager. 
 

Who are you

You are an expert in project management and fully in control in this profession. You are structured and well organised. You are able to set up a clear plan with milestones and deliverables and subsequent rigorous steering of execution on planning, budget and quality. You are a strong communicator, able to motivate others. You can produce simple and clear reports on progress, issues and risks. You have a comprehensive understanding of retail in-store processes and how technology can support this. 
Furthermore you have:

  • A completed WO/ HBO degree in with a link to Project Management
  • 5-7 years’ experience within the Program- and/or Project Management
  • Experience with different project management methodologies such as PRINCE2
  • A formal Project Management qualification would be a plus
  • Experience in Retail and/or fast paced organisations is highly preferred 
  • Excellent command of the English language (in word and writing) is required due to the international nature of our organisation, another European language is an advantage
  • You will travel at least 25% of the time
