For our Stock Control team, within the Store Process Improvement department , we are hiring a professional with retail background and a business transformation mindset, that will help us to set up best practices and innovative digital tools, through the processes and reporting activities the team is responsible for.

The Stock accuracy analyst is an experienced and ambitious team player. You have an eye for detail and you can develop, improve and implement a strong and consistent global stock control management process. You are especially interested in retail stock management processes and is able to transfer this into data models and requirements for improvement.

Daily Activities

The Store Process Improvement department is internationally responsible for the operating model of all Action stores. Within the department, the Stock Control team is responsible for improving on-shelf availability and reducing stock loss. The team is owner of key in-store processes (e.g. ordering, counting, returns etc) and relevant data that drives decision making. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing insights and identifying issues on stock accuracy related topics
  • Proactively suggesting areas for improvement on stock management in close alignment with the Store Process Improvement team
  • Supporting or developing project related business cases linked to labour costs with innovative and digital approach
  • Being the single point of contact, within Store operations, for area and regional managers regarding incidents around in-store stock accuracy 
  • Preparing reports assuring the business insights bring impactful and relevant information to the business with clarity and accuracy
  • Answering inventory related questions from store operations
     
Who are you

 

  • BSc or MSc in Business, Finance or Economics 
  • Minimum 4 years work experience in similar role within retail 
  • Fluent in English. Dutch and other European languages are a plus

  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Pragmatic and result-driven attitude;
  • Organised mindset, able to recognize (business) patterns and stick to agreements according to deadlines and guidelines;
  • Excel has no surprises for you 
  • Collaborative style and patience for change;
  • Really outstanding eye of detail without losing the bigger picture;
  • Strong people skills and proactive team player.
  • Ability to take initiative and inspire colleagues.
