Do you enjoy analyzing processes, and ensuring that they are properly set up so that work can be done efficiently in our +1500 stores? Are you crazy about improving and implementing shop process improvements? Then we are looking for you!

About the department

The Store operations department consists of almost 20 colleagues, and is internationally responsible for store processes, projects, productivity management, new stores and inventory losses. Part of this is the Store Process Improvement team. We are responsible for the operational model of all Action stores. Within this, you have the team process & support. They are responsible for managing store procedures, store processes, manuals, instructions and forms, process improvements and functional management of store IT systems.

Daily activities

As a Process Owner you are responsible for a large part of the store processes. This means that you know all store processes from front to back, and that you constantly focus on analyzing and implementing improvements. For example, we recently implemented a pilot with self-scan cash registers in a number of Action stores, where we are responsible for a clear and efficient store process.

In addition, you have a supporting role towards the organization and you ensure that the daily operation runs as efficiently as possible. For example, you answer questions from the store organization, you solve issues that affect the stores, and you support testing new systems, forms, and working methods. You evaluate this thoroughly and you document the changes.

Since you know the processes within the stores like no other, you participate in medium and large projects initiated by other departments. Herewith, you map the impact on the store processes and you provide relevant feedback to the project manager. You also do your own research in our stores internationally, and you build internal relationships from which initiatives come to process improvements, which you then pick up yourself.

The above are just a part of tasks within this role. In short, a very nice challenge to leave your footprint behind, and to contribute to the further optimization of our international store organization.

What characterizes a good Process Owner?

You have good communication skills, you build relationships easily and people know where to find you. You are organized, know how to structure your work and projects, and you come up with initiatives yourself.

And furthermore:

  • HBO working and thinking level;
  • At least 4 years of work experience in a comparable role, preferably within retail;
  • Experience with process improvements and project-based work;
