Fulltime (38 hours)
As a Business Process Expert, you will be part of a cross functional Program team (StAR) and responsible for designing Action’s in-store logistic processes, by embedding cutting-edge technologies. You will play a key role in aligning the new way of working with the end-to-end Action value chain, ensuring that it is simple and user friendly, therefore driving employee adoption.

The Store Process Improvement department is part of Central Store Operations, and responsible for the operating model of all Action stores across Europe. We continuously explore how to improve the way of working in our stores, and support them in their daily operations.

Your role

As Business Process Expert you will have a cross functional design role within the StAR program. Your primary responsibility is to design, help create, and implement new store processes related to our instore supply chain activities in order to raise stock accuracy and improve the store’s way of working. You will have a direct reporting line to the Stock Control – Team Lead.

To make sure we have future proof store processes, you will help the business owners in design-,  requirement documentation and the delivery of new store processes based on new hardware and software. You work closely with IT to align and translate business needs into user friendly tools for store management.

You support and conduct pilots in the stores; hereby you test and collaborate together with store managers on new designs and changes made in current way of working. 

What characterizes a Process Designer

As the Business Process Expert you have demonstrated and solid understanding of how to map, structure, document and further develop processes. You know how to set up workflows and implementation requirements for business processes. You have experience and knowledge of process improvement. You have a drive to create added value as simple as possible. You have a set of methodologies and tools and have good communication skills, both written and verbal. 


  • A completed WO/ HBO degree with a link to process design;
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience; 
  • Knowledge of development of process design tools such as LEAN;
  • Experience in Retail and/or fast paced organisations is highly preferred;
  • Excellent command of the English language (in word and writing) is required due to the international nature of our organisation. Dutch and other EU languages will be a great advantage;
