You get further with data. Data provides knowledge and knowledge provides development. As an HR Reporting and Analytics Expert you provide this data. Solicited and unsolicited, you provide insights into where bottlenecks can be found and make sure management can take Actions!

These are your daily Actions

Data, there is so much of it. But how do you interpret data? In this role you get complete freedom to search for answers. You report to the HRIS Manager. Assignments flow in from the business but can also be initiated unsolicited because you have functional HR insight. You are constantly involved in projects and you are a spider in the web when it comes to HR Data requests. Because you use your analytical skills, you see problems coming and you contact the business if you notice them. You do this with line managers and at board level for all our operating countries. You are also responsible for managing the HR master dataset in all HR applications. This includes data and reporting definitions, developing reports, and solving data problems.
The data that is important to you comes mainly from our HR Services department. But it doesn't stop here. At Action we are also constantly looking for external knowledge. How is the labor market developing? Where can problems arise? You do research to find the answers to those questions.
And further:

  • You provide structural analyzes and reports on HR management information, personnel data and trend and (labor market) market analyses, and HR Services SLA's performance.
  • You identify your improvements regarding HR reporting from HR Services and the HR organization. Also  take care of the implementation.
  • You support the management and design of the reporting environment.
  • You evaluate, test and implement your new or improved software, and help with strategic decisions about new systems.
  • You train your users to use new reports and dashboards.

Action HR has grown into a strategic Centre of Excellence in recent years. Within our department, Recruitment is recruiting new employees for our international head office. Compensation & Benefits is responsible for everything related to salary, bonuses, lease car and other employment conditions. People development ensures that all our employees are given opportunities to develop and grow. HR Projects is developing various projects to make our HR department even more valuable within Action. Our Shared Service Center serves our Country Offices, for example with payrolling. Finally, each support department has its own HR advisor who looks at the throughput and outflow of employees and is the connecting link between the department and our overarching HR team. This is you

Thanks to your experience in the data environment, you know what to look for. You are pragmatic with data and can prioritize well when pressure is increased and demand is high. You are therefore very strong from an organizational point of view and you always keep an overview. You like to collaborate with your colleagues, but you are also not afraid to do your work independently. In addition, you have a critical view when it comes to data manipulation and you give solicited and unsolicited advice about further optimizing and automating our reports
And further you have:

  • Bachelor or Master in Business, HR, Data Analytics or a related field
  • >5 years work experience preferably in an international environment
  • Strong analytical skills and good Excel knowledge, including experience with Power Query and VBA
  • Experience in HR Data analysis, reporting and visualization
  • You have gained experience in HR Cloud solutions such as Succesfactors and Kronos
  • You have a strong command of the English and Dutch language
  • You have general knowledge of SQL and working with relational databases
