HR Project Manager (a.i.)

(32 - 40 Hours per week - start July 2021)

Action continues with its amazing expansion plans. We are already active in 9 countries and we have strong plans to boost our international presence. We also have a firm commitment to provide our organisation with the best HR system landscape that not only supports our employees and managers but that also protects the confidentiality and availability of their information. As a result, we are looking for an experienced HR project manager that can support us in two key projects. 

Action has established a data retention policy project that will implement the standards for data retention in the HR (related) systems and applications we use. Besides that, Action is planning to activate and implement two additional modules in our SuccessFactors system: Compensation and Learning.

In our International Head Quarters we are looking for an interim HR Project Manager to support the HR and IT teams on these two projects (approximately 50/50 timewise). We are looking for someone who is tech savvy, has a sharp eye for detail, strong stakeholder management skills and elaborate knowledge of HR processes and systems (SuccessFactors and SAP HCM knowledge is a must).

What will you be doing on a daily basis?

You will be a member of the international HR Project Managers team. The main focus will be on managing parts of the Data Retention– and SuccessFactors projects together with the two project teams, ensuring a smooth and efficient execution of implementing these important changes in our HR systems and our organisation within the agreed timeline and budget.

As a HR Project Manager you will work in a team and manage the projects and their ongoing meetings, communications, action plans and reporting tasks. You will ensure accurate project information and data is securely retained and maintained. Within the role you will be dealing with strategic HR and IT stakeholders and you will play a key role for the implementation.

Action has grown so rapidly that we have transformed our HR department into a strategic ‘centre of excellence’. Within this COE, Recruitment is responsible for recruiting employees for our international headquarters and our Dutch country office. Compensation & Benefits is responsible for anything related to salary, bonuses, lease cars and other employment conditions. People Development organises training courses for colleagues working at our stores and distribution centres. HR Projects develops and manages multiple projects aimed at increasing the added value of our HR department to the Action organisation and our HR Service Centre provides various services to our country offices including payrolling. What makes you a good HR Project Manager for these 2 projects within Action:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in an international, multi-cultural, country and head office environment 
  • Proven project management skills. Execute with pace and urgency but with eye for detail
  • Self-confident, broad and developed communication skills on business, HR, IT and supplier level
  • Proven ability to work within a team in a changing international environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with HR compliancy, GDPR and risk & control management for HR is a must
  • Experience with SuccessFactors implementation projects is a must
  • Skilled in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and SharePoint
  • Is able to guide and influence decision making to comply with company and HR guidelines
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, other languages such as French or German are a plus
  • Change management skills, a no-nonsense attitude and a drive to deliver results
