Inventory Business Controller

(Full-time; 38 hours)

Want to join an organisation where you can continue to develop as a business controller? That's Action. You will join an international environment in Noord-Holland full of career opportunities. If you're switching from accountancy to business control, we offer plenty of opportunities for you to grow, too. In this role you will focus on inventory in our stores and warehouses, in all countries in which Action operates.

This is your daily action

Nobody will know Action's inventory as well as you. As a Business Controller, you will soon learn everything you need to know about inventory levels, performance, product availability, damaged goods and other inventory discrepancies. Your goal will be to run analyses that lead to improvements. You will take a deep dive into product data and use it to prepare and support business cases, forecasts, budgets and strategic plans.

You won't be taking this on alone, of course. Working closely with our Risk Management department, you will review the processes, strengthen internal controls and put forward recommendations. Thanks to your commitment, we will carry out control self-assessments on time and follow up on actions regarding Internal Audit by business partners.

You will report to the Head of Supply Chain Control, and you will be able to learn a great deal. You will also grow by working with colleagues from the large Business Control team, who work at the international headquarters in Zwaagdijk-Oost and in the various country offices throughout Europe. Together with them, you will offer financial advice on various domains, such as Store Operations, Commerce and Supply Chain. In so doing you will not only support Action, but also challenge us to keep improving. In addition to your colleagues in Controlling, you will be in regular contact with colleagues from Supply Chain Planning, who are responsible for planning and monitoring inventory . In short, you will build up a valuable international network in no time.
