Junior Fraud Operator

(Full-time, 38 hours a week)
As a Junior Fraud Operator, you will take a proactive role in investigating cases of fraud and security incidents based on data analyses and receive notifications. In so doing, you will assess the risks with the aim of implementing structural improvements to prevent such incidents from happening again. This is your daily action

In the Fraud & Store Security team, you will work in an international team of 12 colleagues in the Netherlands, France and Germany, covering more than 2,000 stores in all countries in which we are active. Together, you will work on a wide range of cases. 

Your work will focus on detecting, investigating and analyzing fraud through using various data sources. You will investigate incidents of fraud in the store organization based on this information. You will also deal with reports from the store organization regarding security or other related incidents. You will conduct fact-based investigations, write brief and powerful reports on these and work closely with the various departments in closing incidents.

You will also help to further professionalize the department by actively looking for new and more efficient ways of working, including continuing to automate data analyses and entering into further discussions with your colleagues. Furthermore, as a content expert you will take part in projects within the organization to help identify and mitigate fraud risks, where your communication skills and innovative ideas will be put to good use.

Risk Assurance supports the entire international Action organization. They identify risks and define and implement measures to control these risks. The activities take place from buying our products to the sale in the store. Our department consists of Fraud & Store Security, Risk Management and Internal Audit. With our specialists, we have all the knowledge available to solve complex issues from different departments. This is you

We are looking for a colleague who loves to remain in contact with other departments, can provide advice based on investigations, is strong in their beliefs and is keen to investigate incidents in detail. You have good communication skills, a strong, analytical mindset, can get up to speed quickly and are able to come up with new ideas. It is essential to be eager to learn and flexible in our rapidly growing and ever-changing organisation.

You also have the following: 

  • Completed training at MBO4 level – with at least two years' relevant work experience or a degree from a university of applied sciences (HBO)
  • An affinity with fraud and risk management
  • Knowledge or experience in Retail is an asset
  • A good command of English (both verbal and written) Another European language is an asset
