Quality Control Specialist
(Fulltime, 32-38 hours per week)
Action is expanding rapidly, with new stores arising throughout Europe and sourcing partners joining around the globe. Our growth calls for improvement and expansion of quality control at our distribution centres (DC’s), which are quickly multiplying as well. We invite you as quality control specialist to get on board at the very beginning of a completely new era within our global enterprise! Your role will be impactful as you develop and mould a new, uniform quality control (QC) management system that will be used in our current QC centre and those yet to be established. You will be based at our head office in Zwaagdijk (Netherlands), with travelling becoming an increasing part of your job as you roll out the system to other European DC’s.
This is your daily action
In large, your job will consist of four challenges. First, yours will be the responsibility of setting up and managing a facility for product checking, investigations, calibration, and so forth. You will be the one to search and purchase the right equipment and ensure that the correct tools are present for anybody to use. Secondly, you will be entrusted with managing the routine checking of our top 500 never-out-of-stock products. Besides that, there is the onboarding of new products, where you will have ample space to analyse our routines and recommend better ways of working. We trust you with questions like: How often we need to check? Do certain products need more focus?
Thirdly, you will lead our investigations. Whenever problems with a product arise, you’ll go out and find an appropriate solution, while working together with stakeholders like suppliers. Also, you will be in charge our ever recurring feedback loop of how we can improve our procedures in the future. Last but not least, you will have the thrilling opportunity to create and manage a wider QC system to external DCs throughout Europe.
As quality control specialist, you are part of a wider team at our head office based in Zwaagdijk. During regular meetings, you will be constantly updated about what’s happening in, for instance, buying, general warehousing, picking up samples, and so forth. This job is great if you like to be at the forefront of what’s happening within a global enterprise!
