Senior inbound container planner
Fulltime, 38 hours per week
The secret behind Action's success? Smart planning, and much more besides. As a Senior Inbound Container Planner, you will ensure that goods purchased in Asia arrive at the right distribution center in Europe from North Holland. In our fast-growing network of stores, hubs and cross-dock locations, you will help ensure the smart design of the supply chain and keep costs down to the benefit of our customers.
This is your daily action
You will plan and organise the transport of shipping containers from Asia to our hubs and distribution centres in Europe. You monitor, on a daily basis, whether all containers are delivered on time and at the lowest possible cost. Besides, you will take action to solve problems with suppliers and monitor KPIs for delivery performance and logistics milestones.
Proactive communication with freight forwarders, suppliers, distribution centres, hubs and the Supply Chain Planning department allow you to guarantee optimal planning. Collaboration is essential in your role, as this is the only way we can expand and strengthen our network.
As a Senior Inbound Container Planner, you spend half of your time on daily transport flows. The other half includes developing and optimising processes for your Supply Chain Inbound Logistics department, which makes the role a huge challenge! You will also coach fellow planners and represent the department in meetings with other departments, meaning no two days will be the same in your job.
Meet your team
You can make a difference at a player in the world's top logistics industry in Supply Chain Inbound Logistics at Action. But the best part is that Action is expanding at a rapid pace, which means that you can contribute to developing a smart, efficient network that includes an increasing number of hubs and cross-docks. And you do that hand in hand with partners from all over the world as well as your trusted team-mates, who you'll get to know during coffee breaks, on team days and over drinks. Toine and Martijn would love to meet you!
