Supply Chain Data Scientist/Analyst

Fulltime, 38 hours per week

Working in the Supply Chain of Action means working in a dynamic and highly motivated environment that is constantly looking for improvements. How can we optimize our supply chain network? Can we predict and prevent stockouts in our warehouses? What is the most efficient and effective way of executing processes in our warehouses? Are we able to build a model that predicts KPI’s in relation to process changes? As Supply Chain Data Scientist you are helping our supply chain develop and improve. Are you ready to take Action?

This will be your daily Action

Over the years Action has grown into one of the biggest non-food retailers in Europe. With currently eight warehouses and more to come, improving and optimizing network and processes is important to us. Within our supply chain network we are gathering a lot of data which we want to use more and more to drive these improvements and optimizations. As a Supply Chain Data Scientist you will play an important role in this. You will gather and clean the required data, analyze it and if requested build  optimization models or predictive models on it. Tools you could be using for this are R, Python and AIMMS. You will present the results of your analyses and models clearly to the stakeholders and tell the story behind the data. Creating an action plan to monitor possible network and/or process changes will also be part of your job, as well as working on ad-hoc analysis requests.

Your scope will be End-to-End, so it will start at our suppliers, includes our hub-, cross dock- and warehouse network, and ends with the delivery at the stores. You’ll be part of our team of six, where you can share experience and knowledge and have fun!
