Team Lead HR Services

(Full-time, 32-38 hours per week)

These are your daily actions


Together with a team of approx 20 people, you ensure optimal services provided to our store, distribution centres and headquarters team members. You anticipate Action's high paced growth and implement best practices for a smooth operation of HR Services in order to keep up with our speed. Resource planning and People management are therefore very important; recruiting, evaluating and motivating your team is your primary focus. The HR services team primarily  deals with processing all administrative mutations for colleagues in all 12 countries where Action is present.
In addition to managing the team, being the process owner of you’re all teams activities you lead the initiation and implementation of processes optimisation being in close collaboration with experts to ensure fast and accurate administration. You are directly involved in building processes from scratch for our new markets or the launch of new distribution centres. Additionally, you make sure your team’s work instructions are up-to-date, having as a base the changing processes and legal inputs form country offices.
One of your other responsibilities is stakeholder management – you are the point of contact for questions or requests within HR Services for all the countries including the headquarters which you do with the support of other HR experts across the company.

Action has grown so fast, which is why a professional HR department is essential. Action HR Services provides administrative support to our shops, supply chain and country offices and ensures proper payrolling. In addition, we have a strategic centre of excellence. Recruitment recruits new Action employees for our international headquarters and our Dutch country office. Compensation & Benefits is responsible for everything related to salary, bonuses, lease car and other benefits; Learning & Development organises training for shop employees and colleagues in the distribution centre. HR Projects develops various projects to make our HR department even more valuable. Finally, each support department has its own HR adviser who looks at the promotion and outflow of employees and forms the connecting link between the department and our overarching HR team. This is you


First of all you are a confident and flexible communicator, being comfortable in managing a diverse team. One of your strong advantages is experience with leading a team withing a shared services structure. In this role, you keep yourself up to date with relevant trends and developments within HR, finding motivation in being a reliable team member, learning your direct reports and expanding your connections network within the whole company. You can easily leverage your natural leadership talents to stimulate the team for an optimal and constructive work manner. You work in a paced manner preserving the accuracy even in times of pressure. You feel at home in a proactive and pragmatic culture, embracing a cost-conscious business approach.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Business, HR or other related fields; 
  • 8+ years of work experience, preferably within an international environment;
  • knowledge of digital HR processes, experience with SuccessFactors is a sound advantage;
  • experience in managing an operational team;
  • excellent verbal and written knowledge of English. Dutch proficiency would be highly desirable
