This is your daily action

Together with a team of 15 to 20 people, you ensure optimum service to our stores, DC and (head) office employees. You anticipate the growth of Action and you realize what a department like HR Services needs to make this growth possible. Resource planning and People management are therefore very important; recruiting, evaluating and retaining the best possible colleagues is your primary focus. Your team is mainly involved in processing all administrative changes for colleagues in different countries where Action is operational in.

In addition to managing the team, you will often be involved in initiating process improvements within HR Services and collaborating with experts for a fast but accurate administration. You are the process owner of your part of the processes within HR Services. Besides that, you are also involved in projects aimed at optimization and effective implementation of new countries and distribution centres.

One of your other important responsibilities is stakeholder management; You are a point of contact for questions or requests within HR Services, for which you will have a lot of contact with the other HR expertises.

Meet your team

Action has grown so rapidly that we have set out to transform our HR department into a strategic ‘centre of excellence’. Within our department, Recruitment is responsible for recruiting new Action employees for our international headquarters and our Dutch country office. Compensation & Benefits is responsible for anything related to salary, bonuses, lease cars and other employment conditions. People Development organises training courses for colleagues working at our stores and distribution centres. HR Projects develops various projects aimed at increasing the added value of our HR department to the Action organisation and our Shared Service Centre provides various services to our country offices including payrolling. Finally, each support department has its own HR Business Partner focused on employee recruitment, internal and external mobility and departures and acts as an interface between the departments and our overarching HR team.

This is you

You are a communicatively strong People manager with experience in managing teams within, for example, a service centre. In this role you keep yourself informed of relevant trends and developments within HR Services. You enjoy working in a team and seek connections with your direct colleagues. You stimulate your team with your natural leadership skills. You work quickly but accurately and know how to stay calm under great pressure. You feel at home in our proactive and pragmatic culture and embrace our cost-conscious approach.

Furthermore you have:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Business or HR;
  • > 5 years of work experience, preferably within an international environment;
  • Knowledge of digital HR processes, experience with SuccessFactors is an advantage;
  • Experience in managing an operational team;
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Dutch, both verbal and written.
