You know where products should go. You can put your experience to good use to create an attractive shelf plan to help us present our products in the best possible displays. Your work and ideas as a Visual Merchandiser at Action's headquarters in Noord-Holland can be seen throughout Europe and in over 2,000 stores. 

Your daily tasks

You will create attractive shelves while working closely together with the Buying teams. In so doing, you will analyse the interaction between the articles purchased and the presentation options in the stores. You will follow the presentation guidelines and policy that have been drawn up, striving for optimal returns per racking metre at all times. 
You will elaborate your ideas further in the test store at headquarters and send shelf layouts round to all stores through the intranet once they are complete. You will also visit the stores on a regular basis to see your work being put into practice. You will speak to store managers and regional managers and seek feedback from area managers with a view to identifying which ideas work well and where the challenges lie. 

Your team

Commerce consists of the Marketing, Digital, Buying, Quality, Operations, Format, Promo and Merchandise departments. Merchandise uses its specific expertise to play an important role in supporting our buyers to increase sales. As a Visual Merchandiser, you will join the Merchandise department. We visit our stores and those of our competitors on a regular basis to stay informed of what's happening on the market. What you offer

You enjoy working together with colleagues and expressing your ideas in a clear and convincing manner. You are a hard worker and have a practical and customer-oriented attitude. And most importantly, great store layouts put a smile on your face!

You also have the following:

  • You completed at least an MBO-4 education and have HBO work/thinking level
  • Retail head-office experience with commercial departments such as Merchandise, Buying, Format or Space Management or does your experience consist of shop floor experience at (non) food retailers
  • A proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • A good command of Dutch and English (both spoken and written)
