The Process & Quality Assessment Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the operational assessments on logistic processes in all warehouses. The goal of these assessments is to make sure processes are executed as designed, but also to identify improvement possibilities within the designs. The assessments are mainly conducted by local process specialist. The coordinator acts as a coach and buddy for these process specialists and challenge them on objectiveness and completeness. Furthermore he or she is responsible for making sure results and actions are registered and shared with the stakeholders. The coordinator is also responsible for conducting assessment personally in case extra attention or help is required on a certain process or within are certain warehouse. The aim is to set up a continuous improvement structure that is embedded in the local operation, but coordinated from are head quarter. 

Daily Activities

Managing the Assessment Structure
You will create calendars which ensure that all processes are assessed in all warehouses. You will also make sure that the calendars are followed, by organizing and managing these assessments. It is also important to manage exchanges or process specialists between different warehouses to ensure assessment objectiveness, as well as managing assessment reporting and tracking the status of defined actions. 
 
Process Management
In order to coordinate the assessments, processes need to be assessed on deviations as well, with the purpose of findings bottlenecks and underlying causes of issues outside the golden flow. You will also make proposals to improve operational processes, working together with the process owners to secure that this is done according to the agree standard way of working. Moreover you will provide input to the support team to benefit recording of processes and procedures and to guarantee accurate documentation.

Who you are

An Assessment Coordinator at Action is proficient in tracking relationships between processes and determine cause-effect relations. You are skilled in making and implementing proposals for efficient and effective working methods, with the least possible degree of complexity. The Coordinator has strong leadership skills, which means you can motivate employees about the company goals and enthuse them to actively contribute ideas. It is important that you are able to train others to assess processes objectively.  Also you will help employees with their personal development through feedback and coaching. This will also require you to be a strong communicator, familiar with working in a multi-cultural environment. You are result oriented and you execute all projects with pace and urgency and a proactive attitude. You are very organized with the capabilities to structure activities and projects, while sticking to agreed deadlines and guidelines. You work efficiently and effectively, even when under pressure. 
 
Furthermore you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in logistics
  • 3 years working experience in a similar job, preferably in retail / logistics
  • Experienced in SAP or a similar WMS-system
  • Willingness to travel for at least half of your time here
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of French / German / Polish is a plus
