As Employer Branding Specialist at Action, you bring our employer story to life life throughout the candidate journey across Europe. Building on our strong foundation, you will take our employer brand to the next level, driving awareness, preference and applications for our stores, offices and distribution centers. We aim to be an employer of choice, attracting talented employees.
Reporting to the Head of Brand & Strategy, you combine marketing expertise, strategic vision, and creative energy to shape how millions of potential employees see us. Your work ensures our brand remains attractive, authentic, and competitive across 14 European countries. From research and insight to storytelling and campaign execution, you turn data into meaning, meaning into strategy, and strategy into impactful communication.

 

This is your daily action


In this role, you are one of the strategic owners of Action’s employer brand across all markets. You define, benchmark, and evolve our Employer Value Proposition, translating insights into clear positioning and compelling storytelling and campaigns across all touchpoints.

 

  • You lead international projects, aligning with different teams to ensure that our employer brand resonates locally while maintaining international consistency; and you build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, navigating with pragmatism and simplicity at mind, through the dynamics of many different labour markets and recruitment needs across many European countries, while ensuring alignment across external and internal stakeholders.
  • You dive deep into research and data, analyzing how Action performs as an employer in each market, comparing benchmarks, and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • You transform insights into vibrant storytelling and powerful digital communication and campaigns, creating content that connects with people and reflects our culture and values.
  • You will oversee our employer brand presence across digital and social channels, ensuring every touchpoint delivers a consistent, high-quality experience.
  • You manage agencies and partners to execute content and campaigns with pace and precision, balancing marketing strategy with media execution and performance measurement.

With tens of millions of fans across Europe, we keep surprising them week after week. We are constantly expanding the Action brand using a data-driven approach and by working in agile teams. 
Reporting to the Head of Brand and Strategy, this role sits in the Marketing and Digital team. We are responsible for the marketing and communication strategy and its execution. We are building more and more digital visibility and interaction; from customer surveys to designing our award-winning leaflet in our own Action Studio, and from private labelling to webcare, the app and social media campaigns. Our biggest challenge is using one voice and one format, online and in more than 3,000 stores in 14 different countries. Learning new things every day and working with the nicest colleagues to make our popular brand even more successful is what makes us happy. 

 

This is you

 

  • You are  an energetic, strategic, and creative professional with a passion for marketing, storytelling, and people.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced retail environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.
  • You are analytical and data-driven, able to translate research and insights into clear strategy and engaging content.
  • You are also a strong communicator and natural collaborator, comfortable managing stakeholders at every level and working across different markets and cultures.
  • You know how to balance diplomacy with assertiveness, pushing back when needed, while keeping alignment and momentum.
  • You are ready to step up the game and make Action Europe’s employer of choice.


In addition:

 

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in employer branding, labour market communication, or marketing within retail (preferably large international organizations)
  • Strong background in marketing strategy, storytelling, and content creation
  • Proven experience in content and campaign management across digital and social channels
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable with research, benchmarking, data interpretation, and insight generation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills 
  • Experience developing and maintaining an Employer Value Proposition 
  • Excellent command of English (both oral and written)
  • Strong understanding of cultural differences and labour market dynamics across countries
  • Proactive, vibrant, pragmatic and a hands-on mentality and a high sense of ownership
