As an Procurement Specialist HR and Professional Services you leverage your acquisition expertise and the knowledge of suppliers’ landscape to be a reliable partner for Action’s HR Group units not only in the headquarters but for all the existing and new markets to come.
Procurement HR is a centralized function with key stakeholders located in Company's HQ, Zwaagdijk-Oost – your office location and country HQ's.
Once learned Action structure you can critically assess the existing and potential suppliers to keep the network of our partnerships constantly optimized and effective, being a confident advisor to your stakeholders.
Day to day tasks
- Evaluate and manage suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to drive results-oriented procurement strategies.
- Oversee the full procurement cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues proactively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement with business goals.
- Analyze data to track spending and identify cost-saving short and long-term opportunities.
- Operate independently within the procurement framework, seeking guidance as needed.
- Execute tasks with urgency and precision to meet deadlines.

We are looking for a target-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing of goods and services to support our business operations. Your expertise will help drive efficiency and contribute to the company’s strategic goals. In addition you have:
- Relevant Bachelor´s Degree or Master’s Degree (finance, economics, procurement, business)
- Minimum 3 of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on contract and vendor management
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a results-oriented mindset
- Proactive and capable of executing tasks with pace and urgency
- Highly accurate and detail-oriented, with a strong affinity for numbers
- Able to operate independently within an established framework, seeking guidance only in non-standard situations
- Organized and reliable, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Articulate in written and spoken English (Dutch is a plus)
