Your daily Action


The Regional Transport Manager (France) holds a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all operational transport activities within the distribution center in France. This position involves not only the meticulous management of Transport contracts with our Transport service providers on a day-to-day basis but also a strategic focus on enhancing store distribution within the country. A key responsibility includes the efficient management of fleet damages to ensure optimal utilization of our trailers. The incumbent will collaborate closely with Transport service providers, the central transport team in The Netherlands, store operations, and country management. Reporting to the transport manager Europe, this role maintains a dotted line to the supply chain manager of the respective country. Join us in this dynamic position where your contributions will be instrumental in shaping and optimizing our transport operations in France.
 

Meet your Team


As the Regional Transport Manager for France, your role involves working closely with individuals across various functions, including Transport Service Providers (TSP’s), the central transport team in the Netherlands, store operations, and country management. Cultivate strong relationships with Transport Service Providers, negotiating terms and addressing operational challenges collaboratively. Your adept relationship management skills will be crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient transport network, meeting the demands of both stores and distribution centers.

Support the Local Store Managers and the Supply Chain Manager by proactively addressing day-to-day challenges that may escalate. Your role is not just about managing logistics but actively contributing to the success of the entire supply chain by providing solutions and support when needed.
 

This is you

This is a highly autonomous role; you must excel in contract management. Operational experience is also crucial; you need to understand the dynamics of a distribution center. Experience with a Planning or Dispatching team would be an added advantage.

  • You feel at home in a dynamic, vibrant environment. Your affinity with systems and your curiosity enable you to familiarise yourself with systems and processes in no time. You also take a structured approach to your work and have strong leadership skills. 
  • HBO level in thinking and action in  Logistics, Supply Chain or similar
  • 10 years’ work experience in the similar field.
  • An affinity for process improvements
  • A good command of English and French. Spanish is a plus.
  • In this role, you will frequently travel to various DCs. Be prepared to account for this every other week.
  • Location: South of France
