Senior Content Creator
(Fulltime, 38 hours per week)
Are you ready to help bring Action’s stories to life across a fast-growing international organisation? As our Senior Content Creator, you will play an important role in producing clear, engaging and consistent internal and external written content that supports Action’s communication objectives and helps colleagues stay informed, connected and inspired across Europe.
In this position, you will be the trusted expert for well-crafted copy, turning complex topics into accessible and meaningful stories that resonate with diverse audiences.
This is your daily Action
As our team’s Senior Content Creator, you will be responsible for producing high quality written content for Action’s communications and core company initiatives. This includes writing and editing copy for channels such as the intranet, updates, newsletters, leadership communications, the company website and projects like our Annual Update. You’ll ensure all content is clear, accurate and consistent with Action’s tone of voice, and you’ll take ownership of your work from draft through to final delivery.
You will shape messaging for major organisational initiatives and milestones, aligning content with business objectives and communication strategies. Working closely with stakeholders and colleagues across the business, you’ll advise on content approaches, simplify complex information, and turn it into compelling stories.
In addition, you will provide editorial guidance and feedback to other content contributors, safeguarding quality and coherence across all channels. You will monitor content performance, use feedback and analytics to continuously improve effectiveness, and contribute new ideas for storytelling formats that enhance employee engagement.
This is your team
Your home base will be the Communication team. Our focus is to support Action’s strategy of sustainable growth and development. We work closely with teams across the business to strengthen employee involvement, including through initiatives like the Voice of Action programme.
We approach challenges as opportunities and aim to act as trusted advisers to the organisation. In everything we do, we are guided by Action’s culture and values.
This is you
You are a confident and creative writer with a sharp eye for detail and a strong sense of structure. You enjoy collaborating with others, take ownership of your work, and are known for your ability to translate complex information into clear and engaging content. You are service-minded, professional and adaptable, easily adjusting your tone and style to different audiences and channels.
You thrive in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities with ease, and are always looking for smarter and more effective ways to communicate. You enjoy coaching others, sharing your expertise, and raising the overall quality of content across the team.
In addition, we’re looking for:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism or media
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in copywriting, communications or journalism (agency or media experience is a plus)
- C2-level oral and written proficiency in English (additional European languages are a plus)
- Advanced writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft strategic messaging for complex initiatives
- Experience leading content projects and providing guidance or mentoring to junior writers
- Experience writing and managing major corporate writing projects such as annual reports or trading statements
- Strong understanding of brand voice and tone, and the ability to ensure consistency across channels
- Experience with digital content formats, internal communication platforms and content management systems
- Proficient in Canva, InDesign, email tools and online publishing
- Familiarity with digital content strategy and performance measurement
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships in an international environment

How we contribute to society
If you only know Action from the stores, a world will open up for you when you come and work with us. We work hard to make a positive impact on society and the environment. Did you know, for example, that we support thousands of children worldwide who grow up in an SOS Children's Village? That our team reflects the diversity of our customers, including 151 different nationalities? That we purchase 100% of our wood products and 100% of our cotton sustainably? And that all our stores, DC’s and offices only use energy-efficient LED lighting? Yes, that is also Action. Curious about what other initiatives we’re facilitating? There’s a lot more we are proud of and we would love for you to be part of it.
