International HRIS Expert – Kronos
Fulltime, 32–38 hours per week
Does your heart beat for HR Systems, do you have strong technical skills and do you enjoy working closely with other departments like IT and country HR teams? Then we are looking for you!
This is your daily 'Action'
As an International HRIS Expert, you are a key player within our HR Projects, Processes & Systems organization, reporting directly to the Team Lead Business Support.
In this pivotal role, you shape and elevate our global Workforce Management landscape across all Action countries. Your mission: ensuring a stable, compliant, and continuously evolving HR technology ecosystem that empowers our people and supports our rapid international growth.
You translate diverse country-specific legal requirements into smart, scalable system configurations that fit HR processes for greater speed, quality, and simplicity. With a strong focus on communication and stakeholder engagement, you serve as the central connection point for IT, Country HR teams, HR Administration, and Payroll. You are the ambassador and front-runner of your application — always on top of new releases, changes, innovations, and upcoming needs.
A key part of your journey will be contributing to the migration from our current Workforce Management solution, Kronos Workforce Central (WFC), to UKG Pro Workforce Management (formerly Kronos Dimensions). In this international transformation, you act as a key player between the system and contact point for HR colleagues. You drive communication, enable change, and support training to ensure a smooth transition for all countries involved.
Responsibilities:
- Initiates, manages (small) and contributes to continuous improvement and projects (change management)
- Identifies, resolves and escalates (possible) bottlenecks within HR applications and own process areas (incident management)
- Manages small HRIS system-based projects and ensures correct introduction and implementation of new and enhanced functionality
- Manages continuous process and application improvement
- Manages system changes in collaboration with IT for the applications in scope
- Coaches/trains team members within the team and the users of the application
- Challenges, sets up and applies country-specific rulings provided by HR experts and country HR management
- Critically reviews and analyses (new) functionality and incidents in order to recommend, develop and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
Meet your team
Action is expanding rapidly, and this has required the HRIS department to respond accordingly. Alongside the HR Projects, Processes and Systems department, Action has an international HR Services department and a centre of excellence for Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development and HR Business Partnering. The HR Projects, Processes and Systems department is a team of approximately 40 people working in dedicated teams: HR Projects, HR Processes and HRIS Development. The HRIS Development team covers the full HR system landscape for all countries within Action.
Curious about your new team members? Christian and Inge can't wait to work with you!
This is you
As an HRIS Expert you have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of HR systems and interfaces, particularly in Kronos. You have the ability to analyse configurations and combine functional requirements from HR teams with technical specifications to provide software solution recommendations. You bring high-level experience in system configuration and stakeholder management across levels and across countries. You are self-driven with excellent time and task management skills, and you have a remarkable ability to translate technical changes for end users and to train people on new software. You also have experience in UAT testing — writing test cases, concluding tests and coordinating test completion — as well as experience rolling out new systems across multiple countries.
In addition:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Data Analytics, HR, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 5 years of work experience, preferably in a multi-country environment
- A broad understanding of Time and Absence Management and the embedding of those systems in the HRIS landscape
- In-depth knowledge of Kronos Workforce Central (WFC) and/or UKG Pro Workforce Management (formerly Kronos Dimensions) for multiple countries — preferably in the retail sector
- Experience with HR cloud solutions — preferably SuccessFactors — is an advantage
- Excellent command of English; Dutch language skills are preferred
