What data do we process and why?

Applying
When you apply to a specific or open vacancy, we ask you to submit data that we need for the application process, such as your first name, last name, postal code, email address and telephone number. We may ask for a motivational letter to learn more about your reasons for applying, as well as a C.V to determine your background (education and/or working experience). For some roles, a motivational letter is not required.

When you use WhatsApp to apply, we may receive the following data: telephone number and the content of your conversation with us (first name, postal code, number of available hours per week and age). We cannot see your profile picture and will not store it. No cookies or similar technology will be stored on your (mobile) device for your application via WhatsApp. Action is not responsible for data processed by WhatsApp itself. We recommend that you read WhatsApp’s privacy statement: WhatsApp Privacy Statement. In addition, the general terms and conditions of WhatsApp Inc. apply to the use of WhatsApp.

We may also receive your application data when you apply through a job board. We recommend that you consult the privacy statements of job board websites as well.

In addition, we may store information obtained from your references.

For some roles, we ask several additional questions in order to gain a better understanding of your experience, expectations and availability.

We need the aforementioned data for following up on your application and in order to make a proper assessment of your candidacy for the role. Providing your data is not mandatory. If you decide not to share this data with us, we will be unable to process your application.

Job alert

If you wish to stay up-to-date with our latest vacancies, you can set a job alert. We register your email address to carry out this search. In order to send the relevant vacancies, we need to know the areas in which you’d like to work, what you’d like to do and your distance to the workplace. We will then process your personal details on the basis of your consent.

This job alert profile will be retained as long as you wish to receive Action vacancy details. You have to option to unsubscribe with every job alert that we send you.

Assessments

Some roles will involve an assessment to determine your suitability. The results of this assessment may be used for your personal development plan if you end up joining Action.
