This is your daily action


As a Procurement Manager Inbound Logistics you are responsible for the inbound logistics, ocean freight and our European hubs. You'll be at the helm of our European hubs, steering the procurement strategy for inbound supply chain. 
You will collaborate with inbound supply chain stakeholders, advising about contracts, and shape supply chain dynamics.  As a procurement professional you understand the requirements and changes in the supply chain organization. On day to day base you’ll be advising your stakeholders, implement new strategies and negotiation of contracts.

As a Procurement Manager you:

  • Create a solid and trustful relationship with your internal stakeholders and Suppliers.
  • Are experienced in procurement and know how  to manage strategic categories.
  • Have Extensive logistical knowledge of transport flows via sea- and road transport.
  • Have Extensive knowledge of third party logistic providers and their services.
  • Contribute to Action's growth by ensuring our supply chain keeps pace with increasing volumes.
  • Think global and act local!

Our Supply Chain Procurement Team consists of 4 Procurement Managers with each their own field of expertise and a Lead Procurement Manager. On daily base we work hard to accommodate the growth of action. The volumes are increasing every year and supply chain has to keep up with the demands. Our team really makes a difference and there is plenty of room to build and implement new strategies and projects!

This is you


You feel you are a match with the values of our company. Continuously you balance leadership, proactivity, self-motivation and speed of initiatives with strong interpersonal and communication skills in an environment where no day is the same. Being result-oriented and analytically strong, you feel comfortable negotiating.

In addition you have:

  • Bachelor degree, preferably in business administration. 
  • A minimum of 10 years of procurement experience in supply chain. 
  • Strong analytics capability, accompanied by high-level Excel proficiency and adept presentation skills.
  • Skills to structure activities, to manage projects and change (evaluation of the impacts, communication and coaching of the stakeholders).
  • Fluent in English, Dutch language is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP Ariba or similar Procurement tool is beneficial.
