The Customer Experience team is part of the Marketing and Digital team. In this role you are responsible for the complete product stream of Customer Experience, both on web as on app.


As a Product Owner, your primary responsibility is to independently lead and drive web and app-related initiatives, showcasing proficiency in initiating, coordinating, and implementing product features. Success in this role hinges on your ability to navigate diverse customer and stakeholder demands and maintain a robust commercial focus throughout the development process. The Product Owner will actively engage stakeholders and end-users, soliciting their input, gathering feedback, and fostering improvement in product features. Operating within our own adopted way of the Scrum methodology, you are expected to be fully self-reliant in overseeing tasks from initiative initiation to delivery, in close collaboration with your IT counterparts.

The Product Owner Customer Experience is situated within the Marketing department at Action. The Product Owner reports directly to the Head of Product & UX, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Brand & Strategy, Merchandising, Performance Marketing, Customer Insights, Customer Service and CRM.

With tens of millions of fans across Europe, we keep surprising them week after week. We are constantly expanding the Action brand using a data-driven approach and by working in agile teams. In Marketing and Digital, we are responsible for the marketing and communication strategy and its execution. We are building more and more digital visibility and interaction. From customer surveys to designing our award-winning leaflet in our own Action Studio, and from private labeling to webcare, the app, and social media campaigns. Our biggest challenge is One Breath, One Format, online and in more than 2,500 stores in 11 different countries. This is you


As a Product Owner your strength is your effective communication and collaboration with cross functional teams, whereby you naturally have the ability to involve stakeholders. You know what the needs are of our users and you also keep an eye on our strategic goals. You navigate between the complexity of product management and you are detail oriented and very well organized. You make decisions based on data, take responsibility, striving perfection is you. You are ready to book success in our company. You are proactive and have a commercial spirit, detail orientated with strong communication skills.

You also have the following:

  • A Master of Bachelor degree, preferably in business and IT with Scrum Product Owner training and certificate
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in an agile environment on the edge of business and IT and experience with digital commercial platforms and/ or digital projects in an agile environment
  • Experience with project management; search and discovery suite of Algolia
  • You have an commercial mindset and product focus, strong people management, stakeholder management skills and a analytical, pragmatic and can-do mentality
  • Excellent spoken and written command of English and Dutch
