Stationery and Entertainment Buying Assistant

Your daily tasks

Our buyers are responsible for finding the best products for our stores. Our stores have 14 categories, ranging from clothes to office supplies and cleaning products to DIY. As a Buying Assistant, you will enjoy a lot of freedom and responsibility to build the product range in your category. You will do this by supporting the buyers in the purchasing process from start to finish. This includes looking at upcoming trends, making agreements with suppliers about product specifications, seeking agreements with Supply Chain about deliveries, and sparring with Marketing and Promo to get your products in the spotlight. You will also take on administrative tasks. In this dynamic role, you will have an overview and will have plenty of scope to work with others in the

Buying team. As a true all-rounder, you will ensure procurement processes run smoothly and adminsitration is up to date, and gain commercial insights. To maintain high quality, you will organise and visit stores, check samples received, and maintain contact with our national and international suppliers.

How we contribute to society

If you only know Action from the stores, a new world will open up for you when you join us. As an example, we're working hard behind the scenes to make a positive impact on society and the environment. Did you know, for example, that we sponsor more than 1,737 children worldwide who are growing up in an SOS Children's Village? Or that our team reflects the diversity of our customers, representing 124 nationalities? Or that 70% of our wood products and 86% of our cotton now comes from sustainable sources? Or that we only use energy-efficient LED lighting in more than half of our stores? Yes, that's Action, too. If you're curious about what other initiatives we're taking, join our team and see for yourself.
