Construction Technical Manager

This is your daily action

As a Construction Technical Manager, you will:

• Provide technical guidance on store assets, including HVAC, lighting, and other equipment.
• Evaluate store designs and blueprints, proposing solutions to potential technical issues.
• Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and best practices to ensure our projects are always ahead of the curve.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety.
• Lead technical improvement projects, manage stakeholders, and ensure that project objectives are met on time.
• Work closely with procurement teams to ensure the right materials and equipment are sourced at the best terms.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with suppliers, ensuring that equipment is properly installed, maintained, and upgraded when necessary.
• Facilitate communication between country construction teams and the international headquarters, ensuring alignment with group standards and strategies.
   

Meet your team

You will be part of the IHQ Real Estate Construction department, reporting directly to the International Construction Manager. Our team is responsible for ensuring that Action's stores are built and maintained to the highest standards across Europe. We coordinate cross-European store projects, monitor construction costs and quality, and drive the development and implementation of technical improvements across all our stores.

You are a proactive, organised, and technically skilled professional with a passion for retail construction. Your strong communication skills enable you to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

• Academic degree with approximately 5 years of relevant work experience, or a bachelor’s degree with around 8 years of experience.
• Extensive technical knowledge in construction, ideally within a retail environment.
• Proven project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in Real Estate is a plus.
• Fluent in English (knowledge of another European language is a plus)
