HR Business Partner International Head Quarters (IHQ)

Full-time, 32-38 hours a week

A dynamic and international environment, that is how Action IHQ is characterized. As HR Business Partner, you enjoy working in a fast paced retail organization. We have grown tremendously over the last years and have a challenging growth strategy for the years ahead of us. With your drive, enthusiasm and knowledge you help us reach our goals by supporting and challenging our leaders in the International Head Quarters on HR related matters.

Your daily action

Action is growing rapidly, we aim to open 1 store per day! In order to keep up with growth, our teams are expanding, our way of working is changing and our systems, tools and processes need to be aligned to support this growth. In the role of HR Business Partner you support the Store Operations department.

You create & monitor reports, analyze HR data, monitor (international) employee changes and communication, signal possible risks, (pro-)actively advice managers on all core HR processes and policies. You are part of the management teams and build strong relationships with your stakeholders at all levels (from team lead to director). Together with the managers you create, update and monitor progress on people plans, workforce planning, define training needs and drive and monitor engagement action plans. You are the linking pin between business and recruiters, ensuring a solid candidate pipeline and hiring the right caliber of new colleagues. Due to our growth we continuously need to evaluate how we are organized. HR plays an important role in supporting the business to prepare for and execute on organizational changes, so we can build sustainable teams. During the performance management cycle you inform managers of what they need to do, monitor progress, organize and facilitate talent review sessions. You like to challenge your counterparts at all levels. As a sparring partner you are able to translate business needs into actionable (business)plans. You respond timely to questions from colleagues about HR processes and/or policies. We encourage you to help us to grow, improve and build a strong HR organization.

Since we are a fast paced organization you need to set priorities, plan and execute (ad hoc if needed) and review almost on a daily basis. You like to work in an international environment.

Meet your team

Our IHQ HR department consists of several expertise centers (Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Talent development, HR Projects, Legal) and our HR Services department, responsible for HR Administration and salary payments for all our employees. The IHQ HR Business Partner team supports the IHQ departments. Within this team you have your own area of responsibility and work closely together with the other HR teams. You ensure your colleagues are updated on a regular basis about developments or upcoming processes.
Do you want to contribute to the further professionalization of our HR team with your ideas? Take Action!

How we contribute to society

If you only know Action from the stores, a world will open up for you when you join us. For example, we are working hard behind the scenes to make a positive impact on society and the environment. Did you know, for example, that we sponsor more than 2,500 children worldwide who are growing up in an SOS Children’s Village? That our team reflects the diversity of our customers, including 124 nationalities? That we already source more than 92% of our wood products and 100% of our cotton sustainably? And that only energy-efficient LED lighting is used in more than half of our stores? Yes, that is also Action. Curious about what other initiatives we’re facilitating?
