Internal Auditor

Are you ready to make an impact at the heart of a dynamic organization and to take your skills to the next level? At Action, we’re looking for an Internal Auditor who combines sharp analytical skills with a passion for uncovering insights. With opportunities to grow professionally, including support to earn your Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification, this role is perfect for someone looking to shape their career while helping shape the future of Action.

This is your daily action

As an Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in enhancing how our business operates. From the very start, you will be involved in planning, executing and reporting on operational audits and other initiatives, tackling key issues that matter most to the organization. But your work doesn’t stop there – audits at Action are about creating real change. You will follow up on action plans, monitor progress and ensure improvements are implemented effectively.

Your expertise will be instrumental in helping management address complex risk issues, process management and the maturity of internal controls. Through these contributions, you will not only support the company’s goals but also help refine and optimize how we work.

Collaboration will be at the heart of your role. By maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the business – including senior management – you will create an open dialogue that encourages sharing ideas and launching improvement actions. With opportunities to travel across Europe (up to 15% of the time), you will gain invaluable experience working within a variety of operational contexts, broadening your skill set while directly influencing our success.

Meet your team

You will be joining a supportive and innovative Internal Audit team of five professionals, each bringing unique skills and perspectives to the table.

In addition to working closely with your immediate team, you will collaborate with the Risk Management team of four specialists. Together, we tackle challenges that span the organization, contributing insights and solutions that drive progress and success. Our shared commitment to continuous improvement and impactful results ensures that we’re always striving for the best.

The culture within the team is one of trust, curiosity and open communication. It is a professional environment where your contributions will be valued and you will be encouraged to bring forward ideas that help shape the future of Action.

This is you

You are a professional who thrives on solving problems and creating meaningful change. With 3-5 years of experience in finance, supply chain or operations (retail experience is a plus), you bring a strong foundation in business processes and an investigative mindset to uncover areas for improvement.

While prior audit experience is helpful, your pragmatic approach and business acumen are what set you apart. You are exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, yet you never lose sight of the bigger picture. Your focus on accuracy and efficiency is matched by a drive to deliver impactful results.

Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you thrive in a small, diverse team, where everyone contributes to a shared goal. Your stakeholder management and communication skills enable you to build trust and rapport with colleagues at all levels, from team members to senior management.

Above all, you are curious, inquisitive and eager to learn. You see challenges as opportunities and take pride in driving meaningful actions that make a difference. At Action, we value ambition and we are excited to support you as you take the next step in your professional journey.

You also have the following:

  • You have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • You have between 3-5 years of experience in Finance, Supply Chain or Operations (Retail is a plus)
  • You have some audit or risk experience, but it is not mandatory
  • You possess strong business acumen and an investigative mindset
  • You bring a practical, inquisitive approach to problem-solving and are driven to improve processes
  • You are fluent in English; Dutch would be an asset
  • You currently reside in the Netherlands.
