As a Promotion Specialist, you are responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of our weekly promotions. Together with a team of 8 colleagues, you ensure that the promotional package is commercially strong, flawless, and delivered on time – in line with our commercial calendar and within the set budget. You liaise with internal and external stakeholders, monitor progress, and steer towards results.

Operational Management
- Set promotional goals for Buying teams and monitor progress and quality.
- Ensure flawless delivery of the weekly promotional package, on time and within budget.
- Align with Buying, Commercial Planning, Brand, and Studio Action to guarantee all promotions meet commercial and brand standards.
- Lead the weekly promotion meeting (Promo Board), driving decision-making and approvals.
- Evaluate promotions for effectiveness and provide clear recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers, agencies, and distribution partners to ensure seamless execution.
Commercial Strategy & Digitalization
- Contribute to the commercial calendar and oversee its execution.
- Safeguard that promotions meet key commercial drivers such as pricing, surprise, traffic, and revenue.
- Play an active role in shaping the promotion strategy, with a strong focus on digitalizing processes and communication.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform tactical decision-making.
Projects & Process Improvement
- Lead cross-functional projects to continuously enhance the quality of promotions.
- Develop project plans, monitor deadlines, and implement improvements as business owner.
- Drive scalable solutions and optimize tools such as the promotion tool and space planning tool.
- Simplify and streamline processes to keep them clear and effective for all involved teams.
Meet your team
As the Promotion Team you are part of the Marketing team. So you work closely with Campaign teams and Studio Action. The team is responsible for bringing all promotions to life. This role reports directly to the Promotions Manager.

This is you
You are structured, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple projects at once. With strong communication skills and a proactive, pragmatic mindset, you perform well under pressure and thrive on collaboration to achieve shared goals.
In addition:
- You have your bachelor’s degree
- You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within commercial/marketing roles in large (international) retail or consumer goods organizations
- You are commercially driven and have the ability to support the shift from paper-based to digital ways of working
- You have experience in using retail and brand models: like using a sales funnel, and brand statements
- You are analytical and have experience in working cross functional, with an close eye to detail and are able to manage simultaneously different projects with tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch
