Real Estate Trainee
During the International Real Estate Traineeshap at Action in Zwaagdijk, you will contribute to the expansion of Europe's fastest-growing retailer. Your team opens more than 300 new Action stores each year – both in the Netherlands and abroad. Which store opening will be your first success story?
You will embark on an 18-month program consisting of three key pillars: professional development and cross-functional learning alongside the entire group of trainees, three 6-month rotations across multiple teams, and assignments & goals that will help you become a successful collaborator within your team.
By the end of this program, you will be a fully equipped professional, ready to contribute to Action’s future plans.
Your daily tasks
As a Junior Trainee Real Estate at Action, you can choose between two development tracks: Process Coordinator or Store Designer. In both, you will gain hands-on experience with support from various teams.
Process Coordinator
As a Process Coordinator, you will learn about store development operations, including compliance, project management, and coordination. You'll assist project managers with construction schedules, documentation, and timely delivery of store equipment, while working with external partners and internal teams. This role offers valuable experience in managing store openings and renovations, along with opportunities to contribute to process improvement.
Store Designer
The Store Designer track focuses on the creative and technical side of store layouts. You'll support store design functions in different countries, create and maintain design guidelines, and ensure compliance with internal standards. You'll also optimize CAD workflows, provide in-house training, and help fellow designers with technical challenges. In both tracks, you'll receive ongoing support to learn from experts and gain a broad understanding of the real estate process at Action.
On a daily basis you will work on your assignments and prepare for your periodical assessments.
Both tracks offer opportunities to grow and gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment, laying a strong foundation for your career at Action. Which one will you choose?
Your team
You and more than 250 international colleagues contribute to Action's strategic expansion by opening over 300 new stores a year. At Real Estate, you will work at the interface between strategy and pragmatic operational solutions. In close consultation with country management, we not only decide where to expand, but we lead the process for opening each individual store. From leasing new premises to construction, we transform empty units into Action stores in just six weeks. But that is not all. We are also continuously optimising our store portfolio through store relocations, expansions, refurbishments and updates. By driving growth, you and your colleagues really help the country managers to develop their business. And at Action, we believe it is important to help you fulfil your potential in a professional, open and friendly environment where we welcome your ideas!
Curious about your new colleagues? Your manager, mentor and teammates cannot wait to support you during your traineeship.
