Risk Manager – Privacy

(32-38 hours)
(Part-time – Full-time 32 or 38h/wk)

Can you give our management valuable insights into how we can control our privacy risks? Do you have a specific interest in privacy and are you an organised and pragmatic professional with a hands-on mentality? If so, join our Risk Assurance team!

Your daily tasks

As a Risk Manager with a special focus on Privacy, you report to the Head of Risk Assurance and are part of the Risk Management team. You also work closely with other privacy professionals at Action. Like the Internal Audit team, the Risk Management team is part of Risk Assurance.

Your main activities are risk analyses that focus on Privacy. This involves you setting up, implementing and supervising the associated control measures. You also appraise and give advice on the implementation of privacy requirements in projects, for example with a view to implementing new systems. You set tactical privacy standards and clear guidelines to help management meet these standards and continuously oversee the associated risks. You support the business teams in case of privacy incidents.

You also use your expertise and experience to support your immediate Risk Assurance colleagues in their daily activities. In addition, you work closely with all our business teams, both at our international headquarters and in the individual countries.

Your team

Risk Assurance supports the Action business teams by identifying risks and defining and implementing measures to mitigate these risks. Our activities span the entire value chain in all countries in which we operate, from the procurement of our products to the sales in our stores. The professionals in our Risk Management and Internal Audit teams have all the key knowledge and skills we need to help the Action business teams achieve their ambitions. If you want to work for a highly dynamic retail organisation offering a wide range of (international) growth opportunities, it's time to take action!

How we contribute to the society

If you only know Action from the stores, a world will open up for you when you come and work with us. We work hard to make a positive impact on society and the environment. Did you know, for example, that we sponsor more than 2,500 children worldwide who grow up in an SOS Children's Village? That our team reflects the diversity of our customers, including 155 different nationalities? That we purchase 94% of our wood products and 100% of our cotton sustainably? And that almost all our stores only use energy-efficient LED lighting? Yes, that is also Action. Curious about what other initiatives we’re facilitating? Join our team and find out for yourself.
