Social Media Specialist


(Fulltime, 38 hours per week)

As a Digital Social Specialist at our International Headquarters in Zwaagdijk, you will be responsible for overseeing the social media organic strategy across 12 countries, engaging with a fanbase of over 6 million followers. Reporting to the Social Marketing & Digital Lead, you will ensure our social marketing activities align with industry best practices and driving performance and engagement across social platforms. Your role will involve optimizing social content/formats, supporting strategic direction and monitoring our performance.
 

This is your daily action

  • Develop and execute data-driven social media strategies to enhance engagement and maximize results on our Facebook, Instagram and TikTok channels. 
  • Optimize the content calendar to ensure consistent, relevant, and high-quality content that resonates with our diverse audiences across 12 countries. 
  • Collaborate closely with our social agency to ensure timely execution of campaigns, maintain quality control, and maximize the impact of our social media activities. 
  • Provide expert guidance on social best practices, optimizing campaigns based on key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuously adjusting strategies to stay ahead of trends. 
  • Ensuring all social campaigns align with Action’s brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across all platforms while meeting industry standards. 
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure social media activities align with the broader marketing calendar and campaign goals, ensuring a seamless integration of online and offline strategies. 
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, providing insights to inform strategy and keep our social presence ahead of the curve. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in content creation, campaign execution, and customer journey optimization, using data and insights to refine and enhance future efforts. 
  • Optimize our employer branding social channels on Instagram and TikTok, reviewing our copy, formats and sharing insights from our other owned Action channels. 
  • Evaluate social media performance through analytics tools, providing regular reports on campaign success and opportunities for improvement.

This is you


You are a strategic, proactive and creative social marketer who excels at optimizing social media campaigns. In your free time you also can’t stop scrolling and you have a strong understanding of audience engagement, campaign execution, and social analytics. You are adaptable, creative, data-driven, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance social performance.

In addition:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, ICT, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in social media marketing
  • Expertise in social platforms, like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok is a must
  • Experience with Employer Branding social channels is a pre
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in KPI tracking and A/B testing
  • Creative problem-solver with a hands-on approach and can-do mentality
  • Good command of English (both oral and written)
  • Good command of Dutch is an advantage
  • Experience with helping define and execute on strategy
  • Proactive 
  • Result oriented (Data driven)
  • Planning and organizing
