Your Role

As a Sr. SAP Basis Application Analyst you will focus on operating and improving SAP platforms (such as S/4, CAR, EWM & BW) and the underlying SAP infrastructure hosted on MS Azure. You will contribute to the roll-out and migrations of SAP products and be involved in the continuous improvements and optimisations of the extensive SAP landscape at the heart of Action’s business operations.
 

Your daily tasks

Within the Development & Operations organization, the Shared Application Services team ensures the optimal operation of the SAP landscape and implements initiatives on the Action technology roadmap. The maintenance and operations of the SAP platforms and underlying SAP infrastructure components is outsourced to an offshore managed service provider (MSP). The final accountability for successful SAP operations rests with the Action Shared Application Services team.

As an Sr. SAP Basis Application Analyst

• You will work together with your team, technology counterparts, solution architects, service delivery manager and the MSP to achieve optimal performance, availability, stability, scalability and security of the SAP platforms .
• You will be the expert in the technical understanding of the SAP platforms and how the MSP operates them. The main focus is on technical application management for multiple SAP products across all business domains. That means working with SAP and the MSP to ensure our SAP solutions can handle high volume growth, translating business/ project requirements into technical requirements, and solving problems.
• You will analyse the impact of technical changes and ensure the successful implementation of any change requests together with the MSP.
• You will set priorities, determine testing requirements, and evaluate whether implementation is to the agreed standard.

What you offer

You are an SAP expert with 7+ years of relevant experience. You are self-confident, have good communication skills and show leadership. You are well organized, meet agreed deadlines and carry out your work according to the guidelines. You are results-oriented and take a pragmatic approach to your work. You handle time pressure well and you work effectively both independently and in a team.

• Experience in the retail and/or FMCG business would be an advantage as would authorization experience and/or SAP Charm experience.
• You also have the following:
• Graduated higher professional education (HBO), preferably in information technology
• Relevant hands-on work experience on a variety of SAP products
• Knowledge of SAP Basis and/or BTP, application management, database management & cloud operations
• Excellent English (both spoken and written)
