Store Support Employee (Czech)

Full-time, 38 hours per week

As a Store Support Employee, you will be the point of contact for your colleagues in our stores. You will quickly and efficiently assist your colleagues when needed. Are you ready to take action?

Your daily tasks

The Service Desk is made up of a great team with various nationalities. Together with your colleagues, you will answer all questions from the stores in the different countries where we operate. The questions are very diverse and may include topics such as ICT, Human Resources, real estate, or financial matters. You will always find the right department to solve these issues quickly, efficiently, and with a service-oriented approach. Helping others gives you energy, and you enjoy working together with colleagues from different departments. In this role, you will not only communicate with the stores but also with the departments at our international headquarters. If an issue cannot be resolved immediately, you will search for a solution. You will answer questions by phone and through our ticketing system. You will also ensure that all inquiries are recorded in our database.

As a Store Support Employee, you will be assigned to a team during business hours. Our opening hours are Monday through Saturday from 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM. The Sunday emergency duty (working from home) is fairly distributed among our employees.

Your team

The more than 2900 Action stores are located in 13 countries, all providing the same excellent customer experience. This is only possible if the stores all work in the same way and can carry out their daily operations under the best conditions: making customers happy, caring for employees, and working efficiently. Central Store Operations guarantees this standardization and is an important driver of Action's rapid growth. We provide guidelines and monitor the progress of all stores in Europe. We are the point of contact for the stores when it comes to issues related to daily operations. And we make sure that these problems are solved as quickly as possible. You will work in a very international environment. The language of our department is English, but at our Store Helpdesk, you will also hear French, German, Polish, and Italian. What's interesting is that many of your colleagues also started in an Action store. You’ll be working at the heart of a vibrant store! And due to Action’s continuous growth, we constantly offer you new challenges to improve the work of our colleagues in the stores every day.

This is you

You are naturally customer-focused and helpful. Furthermore, you are very communicative and know how to convey your message clearly to customers. You must also be able to work accurately and in a structured manner. An empathetic and critical attitude with a high level of cost awareness is also important. You are accustomed to computer work and can quickly master various software systems.

What else?

  • At least practical and theoretical knowledge at MBO level
  • Good communication skills in Czech, Slovak, and preferably also in Dutch
  • Adequate communication skills in English

What we offer

And we have big growth ambitions. For Action and for you. Our growth means you can continually develop as well. A different role, an exciting innovation project, new competencies: you can develop endlessly in your professional career with us. And all of this in a culture where our common values are truly put into practice: discipline, respect, teamwork, customer focus, cost awareness, and simplicity.

Did you know that you can also count on:

  • A competitive salary for a 38-hour workweek
  • 24 vacation days and the option to purchase 5 additional days
  • A fixed-term contract, with the goal of offering you a permanent contract
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home, of course in consultation with your team and manager
  • 15% staff discount on your purchases at Action

Our contribution to society

If you only know Action from the stores, a whole new world opens up for you as a new employee. Behind the scenes, we work hard to make a positive contribution to society and the environment. Did you know, for example, that we sponsor 1737 children worldwide who grow up in an SOS children’s village? That our team (comprising 124 nationalities) reflects the diversity of our customers? That 70% of our purchased wood products and 86% of cotton come from sustainable sources? And that more than half of our stores use only energy-efficient LED lighting? Yes, that’s Action too. Curious about the other initiatives we support? Join our team and discover it for yourself.
