We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Supply Chain Network Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about optimizing logistics, defining innovative solutions, and expanding our supply chain.
This is your daily action
Design, develop, and optimize the supply chain network architecture, focusing on minimizing costs and improving delivery efficiency.
Analyze existing logistics systems and provide solutions for improvement, ensuring seamless operations across multiple network nodes, distribution centers and transportation routes.
The SC engineer defines the supply chain network as a whole, enabling the optimal flow of goods from the product’s source (factory) to destination (store), aiming to balance all requirements and serve all stakeholders to obtain the company’s strategic goals.
As a Supply Chain Engineer you
Prepare and present strategies, solutions and proposals to SC Management, Supply Chain director and Executive Board.
You are the central point of knowledge / intelligence on SC expansion and engineering subjects for both internal departments, such as operations, buying, planning, and controlling, and external parties, such as partners, suppliers, consultants, LSPs.
Give advice on all relevant supply chain network topics, threats and opportunities.
Define and apply principles, innovative concepts, best practices and standards to a variety of assignments and projects.
Meet your team
The Supply Chain Engineer is part of the Strategy & Innovation department. This department defines, implements and expands the Supply chain network. As your direct colleague focuses on distribution centers, your expertise will be on defining our network of , Hubs, Crossdock centers, Consolidation Freight Stations and other elements. Together we improve the (ways of working of the) network as a whole, and initiate, develop and define new strategies, concepts, tactical guidelines and fundamental improvements to the Supply chain. The Supply Chain Engineer reports directly to the Head of Supply Chain Strategy & Innovation.
This is you
For a Supply Chain Engineer, several key personal qualities are essential to excel in the role. Analytical Thinking, problem-solving mindset, strong communication skills, strategic thinking and curiosity.
In addition you have:
- Master’s degree or equivalent (Supply Chain/Logistics);
- At least 8 years of professional experience in an Engineering role;
- Strong analytical skills and a clear understanding of data, warehouse, flow of goods and business concepts;
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, business intelligence tools, ERP systems, goods flow management tools (eg Symphony)
- Proficiency with developing and usage of complex modeling tools;
- Project management experience
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain engineering operations, concepts and best practices
