Supply Chain Trainee
Full-time, 38 hours a week
Welcome to the challenging world of supply chain planning, where you will learn everything, you need to know about optimal goods flows. As a Supply Chain Trainee at Action in Zwaagdijk you will work on strategic decisions, analyse demand patterns and you will learn how to implement and optimise logistics processes.
You will embark on an 18-month program consisting of three key pillars: professional development and cross-functional learning alongside the entire group of trainees, three 6-month rotations across multiple teams, and assignments & goals that will help you become a successful collaborator within your team.
By the end of this program, you will be a fully equipped professional, ready to contribute to Action’s future plans.
Your daily tasks
As a Trainee Supply Chain at Action, you can choose between two development tracks: Process Expert or Supply Chain Planner. In both, you will learn through hands-on experience with support from various teams.
Process Expert Track
You will contribute to improving Inbound Logistics processes, learning to simplify and scale operations. You will collaborate with IT, consultants, and the business to tackle challenges like improving visibility in Direct Import flow. You will also support major projects, such as opening new warehouses and implementing SAP S/4HANA. While you will not be expected to know everything from the start, experienced team members will guide you through the process.
Supply Chain Planner Track
You will ensure smooth logistics operations by communicating with suppliers and monitoring inbound planning. You will also work on improving supply chain processes and tracking logistics performance. Although you will be encouraged to take initiative, your team will support you as you learn and develop your expertise.
On a daily basis you will work on your assignments and prepare for your periodical assessments.
Both tracks offer opportunities to grow and gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment, laying a strong foundation for your career at Action. Which one will you choose?
