This is your daily action


As our Data Privacy Specialist HR, you wi'll make privacy practical. You wi'll be the expert ensuring employee data across all countries and entities at Action is processed lawfully and securely, both in- and outside the HR systems. Your mission: to translate complex privacy topics into straightforward guidance for everyone, no legal jargon needed!

Collaborating closely with Marketing, Risk Management, HR, IT, and other (international) teams, you wi'll bring privacy compliance for employee data to life and embed a culture of proactive privacy awareness across all Action countries and entities..

Your key responsibilities:

  • Reviewing suppliers and internal processes and systems  for GDPR compliance, data retention, and advising on improvements.
  • Ensuring adherence to our data privacy policy across all domains when it comes to processing employee data
  • Creating and maintaining clear, accessible documentation like privacy statements and consent forms.
  • Developing and delivering engaging privacy awareness training sessions.
  • Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and managing third-party privacy risks.
  • Actively collaborating across departments to embed privacy-by-design principles.
  • Ensuring up-to-date and accurate process information in our ROPA (OneTrust system)

  • Calm under pressure: You're the voice of reason, sticking to facts, solving issues, and moving forward effectively.

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Compliance, or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of GDPR and data privacy laws and regulations.
  • 3-5 years of experience in privacy, compliance, or legal roles in an international environment, ideally within retail.
  • Proficiency with privacy management systems such as OneTrust and BWise is preferred, and strong Excel and MS Office skills.
  • Solid knowledge of GDPR and data privacy laws.
  • Fluent in English, Dutch fluency is advantageous.
