This is your daily Action
The HRIS Expert is part of the HR Projects, Processes and System department and reports directly into the Team Lead Business Support. The focus of this role is to provide a consistent and correct working Workforce Management Solution, for all Action countries. You ensure that the landscape is stable and continuously improved. Additionally, you ensure a proper communication and stakeholder management. You act as the main contact for IT, Country HR, HR Administration and Payroll Teams. You are a front runner for your application, and you have an all-time overview about changes, updates and new requirements.
Next to that you will work on the migration of our current Workforce Management Solution, Kronos Workforce Central (WFC) to UKG Pro Workforce Management (former: Kronos Dimensions). Within this migration you will be the linking pin between the project team and HR colleagues, focusing on communication, change management and training.
Responsibilities:
- Initiates, manages (small) and contributes to continuous improvement and projects.
- Identifies, resolves, and escalates (possible) bottlenecks within HR applications and the own process areas (incident management).
- Manages small HRIS system-based projects and ensures the correct introduction and implementation of new and enhanced functionality.
- Manages continuous process and application improvement.
- Manages system changes in collaboration with IT for the applications in scope.
- Coaches/trains team members within the team and the users of the application.
- Challenges, sets up and applies country specific rulings provided by HR experts and country HR management.
- Critically reviews and analyzes (new) functionality and incidents in order to recommend, develop and implement changes leading to best-practice operations.
Meet your team
Action is expanding rapidly, and this required the HRIS department to respond accordingly. Besides the HR Projects, Processes and System department, Action has an international HR Services department and a ‘center of excellence’ for Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development and HR Business Partner team. The HR Projects, Processes and System department is a team of approximately 40 people working in teams; HR Projects, HR Processes and , HRIS Development. The HRIS development team is covering the whole HR system landscape for all countries within Action.

This is you
As a HRIS Expert you have a very fine eye for detail and deep understanding of HR systems and interfaces in particular in Kronos. You have the ability to analyse configuration and combine the functional requirements from HR teams with technical specification and provide software solution recommendations. You have a high-level experience in system configuration and stakeholder management across levels and across countries. You are self-driven, and you have a very good time- and task management. You are able to prioritize your tasks. You have a remarkable skillset in communication, and you are able to translate technical changes for the end user. On top of that you can train people on a new software. Besides that you have experience in UAT testing – writing test cases, concluding tests and coordinate test completion. You got knowledge in rolling out a new system to different countries.
Furthermore, you have:
- A bachelor's or master’s degree in business, Data analytics, HR, Business, Finance, Computer. Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field of study or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of work experience, preferably in an international environment.
- A broad understanding of Time and Absence Management and the embedding of those system in the HRIS landscape.
- In depth knowledge in Kronos Workforce Central (WFC) and/or UKG Pro Workforce Management (former: Kronos Dimensions) for multiple countries – preferably in the retail sector.
- Experience with HR cloud solutions - preferably SuccessFactors is an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of English, the Dutch language is preferred.
