Practice Owner - IT Change Enablement and Release Management


(Fulltime / Parttime, 32-38 uur per week)


We are looking for a IT Service Management Practice Owner with strong experience in Change & Release management. Someone who is Improving, renewing & innovating. Our challenging growth ambitions are reflected in all facets of our organization. Our portfolio of IT service management practices is also in a state of flux. It's up to you and your colleagues to design, implement and manage these processes optimally. You are responsible for, among other things, the IT Change Enablement and Release Management practice. This is your daily action


You are responsible for overseeing and managing the change enablement and release management practice within the organization. You ensure that changes are implemented smoothly and efficiently, minimizing disruption to services and business operations. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that IT changes align with business objectives and are executed in a controlled and efficient manner. You drive continuous improvement and play a crucial role in a challenging and fast-growing IT organization. With the goal: a better service and customer experience. And there's more: you take a close look at our own way of working and make it more efficient where possible. 

A selection of your tasks:

  • Practice Ownership: You define, implement, and maintain the change enablement and release management practices in alignment with ITIL v4 framework.
  • Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with changes to ensure minimal impact on business operations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate change-related information to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Change Authorization: Oversee the authorization of changes, ensuring that all changes are properly evaluated and approved before implementation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and improve the change enablement process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to teams involved in the change process to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Performance Reporting: Track and report on the performance of the change enablement process, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other ITIL practice owners, such as Configuration, Problem and Incident Management, to ensure seamless integration of changes.
  • Supporting Tooling: You ensure that the setup of our IT service management tooling facilitates and optimizes the execution of your practice.

Last but not least, You help your team of practice owners implement, monitor and continuously improve our IT Service Management practices such as incident management, problem management, configuration management and service catalog management.

In doing so, you combine technical with functional knowledge and score high on pragmatism, IQ and EQ. As a self-starter, you manage daily priorities in an efficient way. You don’t hesitate to take the lead and deliver tangible outcomes when it comes to improving your practice. And as a team player, you can work well with people at all organizational levels. You also bring good analytical skills and you are always looking for solutions. Of course, you have a great love for service management and feel at home in a fast-paced working environment.

And further:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in an IT field 
  • ITIL v4 certified.
  • You are successful in managing the change enablement and release practices.
  • Speak and write well in English.
  • Willing to participate in the stand-by organization 
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing change initiatives in a complex environment
